Diabetic Foot Care

A&C Podiatry understand the importance of foot care for people with diabetes. We believe prevention is key. A&C Podiatry provide specialised care to prevent and treat foot complications associated with diabetes. 

Diabetes causes reduced blood flow and nerve damage this can result in conditions such as diabetic neuropathy, foot ulcers, and infections. It is estimated that 80-85% of amputees could be prevented with good footcare and visiting a podiatrist regularly. 

  Annual Diabetic Assessments 

• Doppler ultrasound test to check you circulation.
• Sensory test to test for any signs of neuropathy
• check general health of  Skin, colour and temperature.
• Medication Review
• Informing your GP about the results 
• Advice on footwear and possible products to keep your feet healthy
